The Nurse Aide classes of Guardian Elder Care are approved and follow all regulations set by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The classes consist of classroom/theory, skills/lab, and clinical.
In the classroom setting, the students will learn all aspects of the role of the Nurse Aide and job duties required.
In the skills/lab setting, students watch demonstrations of skills and practice with the instructor and other students.
The education the students receive during the classroom and lab will prepare them for the clinical setting, where they will provide care to residents in a long term care facility. They will assist with all ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living), including bathing, dressing, feeding, transferring, toileting, and other needs as necessary, under the supervision of the Instructor.
All hours of the Nurse Aide Program MUST be attended. This course consists of 17 days, so therefore attendance is crucial to be completed on time. This is a fast paced, high demanding class, which requires studying for quizzes and exams and homework to be completed and submitted on time.
